Group email: Short Story Reading group
When: Fortnightly on Thursday mornings 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Currently full
Venue: Pelham Community Hub

Open to anyone able to read two short stories per fortnight and attend regularly.

As of February 2025, we are nearing the end of The Oxford Book of English Stories edited by A.S.Byatt and soon we will start The Penguin Book of Contemporary Women's Short Stories, ISBN  0140170928. See booksprice.co.uk for best deals.

By discussing the writing and our responses to it, we seek to develop more appreciation of literature, the variety within human nature, and factors linked to good stories.

Meetings are held between 10.00 and 12.00 on Thursdays at The Pelham, Sidley, Bexhill.

As we hire the room, each member pays in advance for each term, c. £2.50 per meeting. However, this is offset by ample free parking and good coffee at low prices. And for those who finds stairs difficult, the building also has a lift.

Fortnightly meetings from September to June with breaks for Christmas and Easter.

The group embraces collaborative learning and sharing responsibilities.
