Thinking of joining the U3A?

Are you no longer working full time and ready for something new? Perhaps there’s a hobby or interest you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t as yet? Hastings & Rother U3A is an inclusive, volunteer-led organisation which offers group activities, coffee mornings and a diverse program of speakers. (For details of our 2026 Speaker program please see the Events page).

We use venues in Hastings and Bexhill for our Coffee Mornings and Speakers Meetings and our groups are based throughout the Bexhill and Hastings area, either in local Community Centres, Cafes or members own homes.

U3A offers an opportunity to try something new and interesting, stay physically and mentally active, make new friends and just have some fun with like-minded individuals.

Important Note

Do you know that your telephone service will be going digital by the end of January 2027.

This means that your copper cable to your house will be switched off. If you have broadband you will need a fibre cable to your house, to replace the copper one. There are several companies providing the service, Lightening Fibre, Trooli and BT. Don't worry if you don't have broadband, BT are making special provisions for people without broadband. The u3a have a information guide provided by BT, which gives you information about the changeover and details about Home Care lines. these will have to be changed too.
